Hi all. I consider myself a refugee of religion and trying to end all ties to it. More witchy than anything. Always felt drawn to it although I was forbidden when living with xtian relatives of course. (meh) I love gardening herbs and flowers. Love crafting and meditation when I think of it. I’m retired now. Life is much more likeable now that I can direct my own activities and do more of what I want to or enjoy. Not sure what kind of pagan I am really not sure other than just born free kind of thing. Not to pagan parents so I won’t say I appropriated anything although some love to gatekeep like that. I won’t let them do that to me! I consider myself a Celtic Norse kind of lady via dna and culture. I borrow from both cultures and in my magic practices I’m eclectic solitary leaning towards Chaos theory. I love beaches and also do some seawitchy stuff.
I did add this separately I thought but somehow it got all mixed in with other peoples intros? I dunno but I am reposting my original blurb about me again. Hope that is okay?

Welcome to the Forum!
This is the right place for your post, it is the Introductions sub-forum.
Myself, like a lot of folk here, are rather new to all this.

Yes, I seem to get notified about posting again here each time a Mod or Admin comments though. Weird?? lol so sorry. I won’t post intro again. SMH no. Thank you for the welcomes!
The first topic you posted in was the bulk intro thread; it’s fine either way if you want to post it there or separately! This is the correct category anyway.
It sounds like we have a fair bit in common! My ancestors are also Celtic/Germanic/Norse. My gardening was once terrible but I’ve gotten better with time. My calling to water and the sea is insane. I was barely on dry land at all as a child.
The differences being that I no longer do an ancestral-focused practice. My new deities appeared at a time of crisis a few months ago and up-ended my world and my practice. My parents weren’t pagan in the traditional sense, but they were both associated with the esoteric and the occult in their own way. Both used magical means to get together. I doubt I would even exist without their spell-craft. (Probably why I’m so weird. lol!) So by rare circumstance I didn’t grow up in an oppressive Christian atmosphere like so many had to.
Anyway, welcome to the forum!
