You’re mixing Orthodox practice with your literal interpretation especially around “consuming human blood or flesh.”

Orthodox liturgy does involve the Eucharist (Holy Communion), where bread and wine are believed sacramentally to become the Body and Blood of Christ. The phrases “Body and Blood of Christ” are sacramental, not talking about cannibalism like chewing human muscles or drinking human blood in the crude sense. When they say that, they mean they are entering into a mystical union with Christ through this sacrament.
