Thank you! Yes, thank the gods! It really was and forgive me for getting a little too excited, lol! I’m going to try to make this last addition quick:
Their reactions were very curious too. My ancestors were hard to read in the beginning… I kept getting mixed messages and confusing vibes. Then it became clear they were actually very supportive after some days had passed, almost like they had to catch up or something had to clear in that energy first.
My familiar I reconnected with much more quickly and was completely unbothered, bored even. Acting so unbothered that it made me wonder if it knew somehow that this was coming. My familiar isn’t this chill even around individual people, lol. Two titanic gods just charge in and upend my entire practice? My familar just proverbially seems to say “Yep, seems fine… I’m going back to sleep.” I’m sorry, what? lol
I may be late for the discussion, I am a buddhist myself though a chinese one (not overly religious but my family is pretty into it and I do kinda talk to Guan Yi Ma from time to time since both my grandmothers follow her via temples and prayers) though based on your description you might want to look into Hinduism.
The main theme is nirvana or elightenment which is to detach from all humanly desires along with the cycle of Karma - accumulation of deeds/energies you put out.
Most know what it is. But those who dont, to put in a simple term, you get what you give. This is towards every living being, that can include items for some. The harsher you are, the same shall be received though it may not happen in this life but rather in your next life. It gets to a point where you may end up being an animal to clear up your ‘sins’ before you are reborn as a human again to re-do the whole process untill you find enlightenment. ← At least thats what I know from prying here and there.
Tl;dr → Basically a cycle where it repeats rebirth untill enlightenment is achieved and you stay in the spirit realm with the deities (how true that is, we do not know)
As you reach different stages of your journey, you may connect with new deities who have new lessons to offer. That doesn’t mean the deities you worked with before are gone. They simply step back for a while and return once you’ve integrated what you’re learning.
Also, from what I’m reading in this thread, they feel more like Buddhist deities, leaning more Chinese in origin. I’d definitely recommend revisiting your research with that in mind.
If you’re comfortable sharing how they showed up (signs, dreams, symbols, feelings, etc.), I can try to help though I know that’s very personal. At the very least, I’d suggest looking into Chinese deities more closely, and if you want, I can help you narrow down the list.
Greetings Firefox! (Sorry for the delay - I had a very big last week.)
Oh that’s very interesting! That sounds like a lovely connection with Guan Yi Ma.
Thanks for the explanation! When I was growing up I knew the general philosophy, but not much else on these religions. It’s been fascinating reading and I feel like I’m getting a good grasp on things…
Something I am infinitely grateful for in both Buddhism and Hinduism is the amazing scope of old texts to go through. It makes the research so much easier when compared to trying to “research” the western pre-christian traditions (if you even want to call it research - that’s more like clutching onto scraps of destroyed fragments while crying LOL…)
Oh and you were right to point me further in the Hindu direction! I’ve now fully ID’ed one of the gods!
That’s true, I’ve considered that possibility. I’ve had deities come and go in the past. This feels different, but I know I shouldn’t say any more on it. I don’t make oaths, but I understand that certain messages are for my ears only.
I’ve now fully ID’ed the Hindu god Shiva as one! After many weeks chasing signs, visions and research, I finally had a dream of an Indian man with very sharp eyes, who presented a lingam (Shiva’s symbol), glowing with all the burning energy of a volcano. It was intense. I saw no other way to read that dream, and got further confirmation afterward too. A little known fact about Shiva is that he actually exists in the Buddhist pantheon too, so the fact that he’s working together with a Buddhist deity actually fits!
I’ll get back to you on that, lol! After ID-ing Shiva, the signs have changed a little. He seems to be “lying back” so I can read the 2nd god’s energy more clearly now. I did read quite far into the Chinese pantheon after seeing the suggestions - basically what happened was I was tracing a very fine line of very subtle resonance, reading through every last Chinese deity page I could find.. until I somehow found myself looking at shinto-buddhist deities in Japan!
That’s when something interesting happened. Last night a video froze at the exact point a Shinto-Buddhist deity’s name was spoken - which I’m taking as a sign! I just need to read a bit more and see if I get his confirmation… But if I do need more help, I will keep your offer in mind - there are some things I could share. I’ll let you know!
