I’m honoured to be here. My name is Kendra. I’ve always been interested in the craft, and recently started working with my first tarot deck. I would love to learn more about different types of magick and practices, holidays etc. Sadly, witchcraft isn’t really a field of discussion in my home country, which is why I’ve decided to try this group.

Samhain (aka Halloween 
these days) is a fun time of year to get started, there are so many ways to hide your practice if you need to and still slyly celebrate the turning of the wheel. Themes of honoring ancestors or reaching between the worlds for psychic vision (a good night to read your cards) would be ways to celebrate Samhain.

I think the majority of us here can relate!
I’m possibly one of the strangest people here, in that I was born into this path, at first into a branch of occultism known as Theosophy. I have an insane history and a crazy family to match, LOL.
I can be super busy sometimes, but I try to be on here as much as I can to help newcomers. I only warn you that my responses can be very long sometimes (it’s a bad habit) so get ready to read a lot if you ask me anything LOL.

So sorry to hear about where you live not being accepting; we all know the feeling. You are more than WELCOME to join our group. Witchcraft is so diverse, that there is no judging here. Have fun with your Tarot. It IS a practice. I find it changing almost monthly. FYI–I had problems with my deck and was told to NOT riffle shuffle but to do a “wash”, here in the casino business, a wash, is putting the cards facedown and swirl shuffling them on the table surface. In a year, I already went through a deck. I now have plastic cards. With the paper stock you have to be careful. I also have a problem with full-size cards, so I have a midi and a mini deck.
