A New Witch in the Circle

Hello everyone! My name is Gabriela, but you can call me Gaba. I’m excited to be here and to keep learning, exploring, and growing on my spiritual path. I have a deep curiosity for magic, energy work, and understanding different traditions with respect. I’m here to connect, share, and soak in as much wisdom as I can. Thank you for having me in the Coven!

Meery Meet and Welcom, Yorkshire,

I am a solitary myself (I prefer sun worship to moon; but I get up early enough to catch the moon before it leaves, and I am bus-bound, so can’t have a coven). I prefer solitary for a number of reasons, mostly, the “new” rites seems to be mostly assumptions. And for new witches, I believe it is easier to get caught up in all the doodads. I don’t go for lots of stuff. Our witches centuries ago, certainly did not have all we have. I say pick you 3 most itmes you are attracted to. I have a small embroidered washcloth as my altar cover, a small cauldron for the water element. A Kokopeli on top of a bottle of gold dust, that I picked up, for the earth element For air, I keep my incense there, and I keep my guitar at the ready

May All find the Peace that I hove have a great week-end–Lady Gene :magic_wand: :crystal_ball:

@Lady-Gene i have a portable Alter it’s all in a nice box and I get it out when I do my work ect as there no room for a permanent Alter at the moment I work with the moon, and love herbs and candle spells :magic_wand: I have a silk alter cloth and a round glass mirror plate I like to use in the centre. I burn my incense to cleanse and protect before I begin and then I always do a sea salt circle on the glass plate around the candle so not to attract negative energy, I have a small bell that I ring before to open and at the end to close.

Merry Morning Yorkshire,

Sounds like you are “set” to begin the “magick” process. I have a portable alter that I carry in my purse in an Altoid tin  Yep, earth, air, fire water all in there. It feels safe to have a tool with you. Whether it be a portable altar, a wand, or even a crystal. Keep learning, keep it up, you are heading in the right direction. Lady Gene :magic_wand: :crystal_ball:

Hi! I’ll love to have a witch friend, specially someone who is also a baby witch. Idk how to message here privately.

Welcome! I just joined today.

So nice to get to know you! I’m new here, I don’t know much about witchcraft, but I’ve started studying Wicca and a lot of things resonate. I’m going through a bit of a rough patch in life and am looking for new friends who know more about spells, magic, and tarrot readings, as I don’t really have anyone to talk to about these things. Love and blessings and so happy to be here

Please let me introduce myself. I am Ravyn Everstorm. I’ve been walking the path for more than 40 years. I am eclectic but my pantheon is mainly Kemetic. I’m just here to connect with others of like mind and maybe learn something I haven’t studied. Also, I am here to help my students learn new thing…

Merry Morning, Rivera,

I also had a difficult year (2024) that brought me back to the craft. Yes, the hard times, although difficult, may sometimes lead us in the right direction. Welcome to the forum and just keep at it. You will do just fine. I have made suggestions elsewhere, however, beginner books to give you an open perspective, I suggest 3–Buckland’s Big Blue (Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft)–A Witches Bible by Janet and Stewart Farrar (this one is a Garnerian approach) and Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. These will give you a good base. I have discovered that I am not a “Wiccan” but a witch. Easier to just say Wiccan to those who do not know the difference. So, do some study, most importantly, trust yourself. There is no ONE right way to be witch. It is about intent more than anything. It’s the energy involved with rituals/spells and such.

Well, just a quick “hi, and hello there” (Sister Act), Merry Part and great Yule—-Lady Gene :magic_wand: :crystal_ball:

Welcome! I’m hoping you will stay awhile!
