I’ve found this book recently, The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells: The Ultimate Reference Book for the Magical Arts and I’ve been reading it for a while. I just want to know if using this book is a good idea.
I’ve been stripped of technology, and by proxy my tools to study for a while now so Ive kinda forgot most of my accumulated knowledge.

It seems that the book might be a useful tool, however, I’ve not heard of it before your mention nor have I been able to review the book online – the Internet Archive doesn’t allow one to read more than the introduction and I’ve not found more than an image of the cover on other sites.
The author has written numerous books but has no scholarly credentials. This does not mean she hasn’t done the requisite research for this type of “encyclopedia,” or that there is no value in what she’s written. I am always leery of lay people who write such extensive tomes.
I can only imagine how frustrating it must feel to have no internet access or perhaps even a computer. That would make me nuts for a while. But you must have meant something something else by this statement…
It might be helpful and useful for you to review the book on one of the “book” threads, …One Book for Beginners, Book Discussions, or Pagan Books…
I look forward to hearing more from you and other folks about this book.
Blessed be,
~ Lisa

Well, hush my mouth… I spoke (or opined) too soon about this book. Apparently it is known by Rebecca Swanner, this forum’s creator and referenced on the " Help with spells - #9 by Rebecca thread."
One just never knows…
