# Spirit boards / ouija board insights

Hey all, I’m new here but diving into witchcraft and my spiritual journal more with my sister. We live in a space that has the presence of many spirits and we are able to cohabitate peacefully.

We recently decided to purchase a spirit board, and attempted one communication session. We got communication but not through the board.

Any recommendations for using a spirit board more effectively? Or your experiences? Thanks so much

Welcome to the Forum,

If not through the board, how then? I’ve not used one myself, I used a Pendulum which is much

faster at least for yes / no & true / false kinds on communication. My main method was also

Automatic Writing in a journal. Well worth the extra effort and stacks of spiral notebook journals.

Very cool i haven’t used a pendulum yet !

Typically for me I can feel and hear them and see them in minds eye- also through tarot readings when they are being disruptive trying to get our attention.

For me I was very closed off to this until recently, but my sister has always been aware and open and some experiences happened that made it impossible for me to deny any more !

Well, if you can hear them as I can with my familiar, journaling would be useful.

Even if they are not in control of the pen, if you write down what they say,

the communication will flow much better than any other method. Instant feedback

for them that the message got thru, and a permanent record of the convo for you.
