The “maiden” in the dream could in fact be referring to using a kind of a spiritual decoy. Something the demon may be attracted to. Probably something that resembles a maiden, but may not have to be an actual maiden.

That’s possible, but considering it had to actually possess her in the breakdown that was given in the dream, I’m sadly leaning towards actual maiden. Although I do know that spirits and demons can possess inanimate objects, but considering the Burnt Man was randomly starting fires, and people are a lot less likely to catch fire, there’s also that to consider.
NO. Absolutely not. I cannot condone that, that crosses a hard boundary for me.
Yes you can successfully contain a demon in an object, even if it’s just temporarily. You just have to know how to make a strong enough container. It’s a dangerous process, you have to know what you’re doing, but it can be done. It’s still infinitely safer than inflicting that kind of enormous spiritual, physical and psychological trauma on a human being. It also spares you from a tremendous amount of karma.
You would want to custom make a fire-proof container in your case. Which isn’t that unusual. Most containers have to be custom-made specifically for the particular type of demon or spirit you’re dealing with anyway. If you want to pursue that option, I can provide resources. Otherwise, I don’t have anything more to say.

Jinn would fit the desert environment that I now live in, but why would it be inside the house and not outside in the heat? From what I understand, Jinn also don’t start life as normal people, which is how Burnt Men often come about (from what little I can find about them). Although, a Jinn does explain why the previous owner had left an empty holy water vial behind and was willing to move from a (from what I understand) paid off 3 bed 2 bath house with 2 (I think teenage) kids into a 2 bed 1 bath apartment rental with his girlfriend and the aforementioned 2 kids. A Jinn would do everything in its not inconsiderable power to make me (or anyone else) think they were dealing with something completely different so that it could laugh when their removal methods wouldn’t work.
A Jinn requires a brass container and salted sand, which are admittedly a lot easier to acquire than what’s needed for nearly any actual demon…
Jinn definitely do inhabit homes, there’s even a special name for such (I forget now).
Also, to me Jinn and Fae are related beings, just a different cultural label. Plus Jinn can
take on different forms. The reason I said Jinn is because of the physical presence,
which AFAIK no shade/ghost can do, even a poltergeist can effect the physical world
but still not be physical itself. Jinn CAN become physical. You can always try negotiation
with a Jinn BTW. They are easily offended but can and do accept apologies for our actions.
EDIT: Perhaps not YOUR actions, but that of the previous resident. The Jinn will then judge
you the same, and move the aggression onto you. Humans do the same thing, called bigotry.

You said you don’t feel safe with it anymore? Did you ever feel safe around it or did it give you a bad feeling out the gate? I lived in a house that was a horrible experience. I have a child who never believed in those things who, after living in this house when he tells you stories the look in his eyes is still fright and he is now 36 years old. My girls they don’t even like to talk about it but anyway, mine was a dark figure a big man, who my neighbor saw and I saw . Have you thought about getting a psychic in there? I don’ t know how old you are and if you’re living with your parents or you’re an adult I mean, I don’t know. It was such a horrible situation for me because these entities were not good. Only one was, maybe and I believed he was a young child on this earth who is being held captive. Anyway, I called in a psychic and she pretty much confirmed everything but oh boy, the stuff that she told me went on in that house years ago, it was horrible ended up just moving. I understand it sounds like you can’t do that, but I had to get my kids out of there because one of them was almost physically hurt. I had a nook in the wall built into the wall, and my grandmother’s bluebird of happiness was in it, and my son was sitting on the other side of the room, and that thing came out of the nook, flew across the room and almost hit him in the face. Things chasing my kids upstairs it was terrible. What about Sage? Have you tried to use Sage? I mean, I don’t know I did and it didn’t work. They were out in the garage too just sayin. I think. If you talk to it use caution, iAnd if that doesn’t work, try psychic. What about and I’m asking everybody a protection spell. Does everyone think that she might need to do a protection spell or have someone do one for her? I don’t know that’s the first thing that comes to my mind is a protection spell or a cleansing spell. I have a cleansing spell that is amazing. It worked so so good. I feel like my life took a turn and went back to a place in time, where l was free of whatever I got rid of. Anyway, it’s not a hard spell, but when you’re done with it you have to get rid of the remains of this spell. I took my remains of the spell and went down to Lake Erie, and with my little cauldron threw the ashes into the water far away from my house, and they would be taken far away from Ohio eventually. I mean, just throwing out ideas protection spells, cleansing spell you don’t want to lock it in your room you don’t wanna corner it. First thing is to find out what its intentions are and talking to it like she said asking it why it’s in your room. I don’t know. I think I would do the protection spell iand the cleansing spell, because I’m thinking anything dark is not something you wanna mess around with.

The first week in the house, everything felt normal, until Samson woke me up hissing at the entity in the corner. Samson started sleeping on my mom’s bed after that. From that point, I just had a general sense of unease, like I was never truly alone in an otherwise empty room. About 2 months into our residency, my SO started having more significant health issues, which naturally increased my stress levels, but I didn’t think it had anything to do with the entity until the stroke from nowhere the morning after Valentine’s Day of this year. It was after the incident following our return from the hospital after the stroke that the unsafe feeling truly started.
As for finding a psychic, every female in my mom’s side of my extended family is psychic to one extent or another, and to a lesser degree so are the males on that side (the only exceptions are the older of my 2 sisters and the younger of my 2 brothers, all 4 of whom are younger than me). One of my aunties from that side has been here twice, but neither she nor my mom has ever mentioned anything to me about the entity.
I live with my mom, brother, and SO, due to circumstances beyond my control, and I’ll be 46 in July. My dad passed away in 2017, so long before the move.
I did do a basic protection spell the night we moved in, just from personal habit (SO and I were homeless for quite a while, so it was technically geared more towards physical threats than spiritual, but I’d never had a problem before this house with the spell).
I’ll see if I can find a sage smudge, but there aren’t really any shops local (that I know about) for that kind of thing. We do live in a somewhat small town.
One of my aunties from that side has been here twice, but neither she nor my mom has ever mentioned anything to me about the entity.
Perhaps this entity doesn’t go near them to be detected. Bring them to where you’ve seen it?

Sage and a simple cleansing isn’t strong enough to remove a demon. Like I said in one of my first replies, the only procedure strong enough to rid a house of a demon is an exorcism, which is an entirely different process and requires the use of different herbs.
Individual protection spells are an absolute necessity for her and anyone living in the house, and a protection spell on the house is something to try, but it must be in constant effect and must be incredibly strong in a situation like this, because if the demon is strong enough, it can break through it. Plus, anytime you start encroaching on *their* attachments they get angry fast. So you have to know what works and doesn’t. But yes rule #1 is wear constant self-protection.
I do agree she needs to hire a Medium, not a psychic. I am a medium who’s specialized on this stuff, so believe or not I know what I’m talking about when I give my recommendations on this. I’ve spent my entire life dealing with the paranormal both as a child and a teen before I became an occultist. I got into paranormal science specifically so I could learn what works and what doesn’t. It’s why I got into the occult in the first place!!

Not all psychics have abilities that are conducive to entity detection. I do, as a natural medium. Mediums are specialized psychics. A medium is what you want. If you put me into a room with an entity hiding in it, I can tell you in seconds.
That’s good, but this is a perfect demonstration of my reply to Moon Shadow that I actually do know what I’m talking about. Location protection spells are ineffective against demons unless they’re very specific and very strong. And even then, a powerful enough demon can still break through unless the spell is constantly active. This is why exorcism is the only thing that will ultimately solve this problem.

I’m afraid I’ve never met a Jinn, no. Fae sure - but not an elemental or any kind of Jinn I’m aware of!
From what you describe, I guess that sounds possible. A Medium would be able to tell her either way. Or she could do a reading to confirm its identity herself.
Jinn sound infinitely easier to get rid of and deal with, so if that’s what this being actually is, that would be incredibly good fortune by comparison lol.

Yeah, because when I was dealing with the demons at 14th St. there was nothing that was going to stop them. Nothing I did nothing. I tried. I brought a psychic in, (and I never thought about the difference between a psychic and a medium. there is a very big difference. I just never thought of it that way before.) But nothing nothing nothing, and I cannot emphasize that enough, that we did, did anything.
The demon was strong. It pushed my neighbors son down the stairs and left a claw mark in his back, and I saw it once and it was not anything I ever wanna see again.
I was pulling out of the driveway one day to take my kids to the Lake. I had a big enclosed porch and a giant front screen door with the window in it, and I saw what appeared to be the shoulders and head of a very, big shadow. And I thought dang my eyes are playing tricks on me so I pulled forward. It didn’t move. I pulled backwards and it didn’t move. It was solid,
I then pulled a little further back and it didn’t change. My kids asked me what are you doing, mom? I said nothing. I was just looking at something in the yard.
I rolled very slowly past my house and turned around and looked at it and it didn’t change. It was a solid man huge shoulders. It was a black shadow. The whole entity was black and it’s like it burned into my brain. I can still see it if I think about it. I try not to think about it.
I left. I fled that house I rented the very very first house that I could find to get the hell out of there. That house is scary. I avoid that house at all costs and avoid that road at all cost. I know what this girl’s going through. It’s scary when you know something is there and watching you. I was doing dishes one day in the same house, I told my daughter Debbie she had to stay inside. Just sit and watch TV until I got done.
I’m doing dishes and I turned around to say something to her. I can’t even remember what, and I see her talking to nothing! There was nobody there and she’s talking and shaking her head yes and she said OK and she shot straight up and walked out the door. I’m looking at her like what the heck are you doing? Well, then I heard a child laughing. There was no other kids in the house. My small kids were gone and sometime during that Lizzie was telling me about her friend that nobody could see. I heard laughter and I seen a little blonde hair boy fly by my window literally because my kitchen window sat up high. Then Debbie comes in with my neighbor Stephanie and I said why did you go get Stephanie? Why did you leave the house?
She said mama you stood right there and told me to go get Stephanie. I said no Debbie I was in here doing dishes she argued with me and she was crying. She said no mama you stood right there and told me to go next-door and get Stephanie. Then Stephanie and I looked at each other and we knew what happened.That’s what I lived with in that house. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I was almost willing to leave everything behind just to get out of there. Luckily, I didn’t. I packed everything. She definitely needs to take your advice and get a medium too bad you couldn’t do it from where you’re at. If she was on the computer and took you into the room?
Yes, and honestly that’s the first advice I always give. If you’re not prepared to deal with something like that (and the MAJORITY of people aren’t) I always tell people to just leave and alert the landowner and any potential new tenants. You leave quickly before more damage is done. Your story is a little hard to read without any breaks, but I get the idea. You did the right thing and I’m glad you were able to safely get out!!
If you’re just talking about reading the space, sure that might work. But a much easier option for her would be simply do a reading herself with her own divination. But that’s not the problem. The problem is dealing with the bloody thing. (I often get frustrated about topics like these for that reason. lol )
So basically, if you’re a witch or an occultist and you actually choose to stay and deal with a demon head-on, let me tell you - all the training wheels are about to come off. Proceed with extreme caution and be anal with every detail in your rituals. You don’t have room for error. I cannot emphasize it enough or things can escalate rapidly and you can end up in a situation like yours where you’re literally running for your life, or worse. NOT A GOOD TIME.
That’s why my first advice is always to leave. And if you think negotiating with a demon is going to be a good time, think again. Let’s just hope it’s a really convincing Jinn, dear god…

Oh, yes. Jinn can certainly make themselves a terror. In Islam ALL demons are Jinns-gone-bad.
And some Jinn are TREMENDOUSLY powerful beings with Free Will. True demons are actually
rare. But, you CAN negotiate with most, but not all, Jinn. So, it’s a risk either way, Jinn aren’t
pushovers. But much is appearance with many of them, but WE can’t tell. Respect is the key.
