I had turned my amulet into a protection piece, bound it in black ribbon while stating my intention. Long story short, I said that this amulet will shield me from all negative energy so long as I am wearing it. I also have a protection sigil in my room and in my bag. Last night when I took off the amulet before going to bed, within five minutes of removing it, I felt a heavy, overwhelming wave of energy. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Anxiety. I put it back on, and this feeling faded very quickly. What did I do wrong? ---

I figured as such. How can I ‘dull’ this protection? I’m afraid to take the necklace off now lol ---

It is true that it’s possible to have _too heavy_ protection - on a daily basis, but I will say that there is a time and place for it. I kind of equate it to walking around with full bullet-proof armor on a daily basis vs. regular clothing. While bullet-proof armor is _great_ to have in a time of great danger, it’s not necessary on a daily basis. So I wouldn’t have necessarily weakened that amulet. If it were me personally, I would’ve crafted a new one with a gentler spell. Not saying that you’re going to _need_ protection that strong (at least, I hope not) but having that option never hurts lol. If you were in a situation of grave supernatural danger, you might be grateful that you have it. Cheers. 🔱 ---

This is a dependency. When you have made such a claim about the amulet’s power, you become anxious the moment you remove it. If an amulet were powerful, others wouldn’t be able to sense it at all. But any could sense it. ---
