# Grounding for cord cutting

Hello fellow witches. I am very new to the craft, but Ive always felt a very close spiritual connection inside as well. I have been in this relationship for 6 years and in the beginning it was great, but the past several months it has been draining me. I am physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted from it. Ive told him a couple of times already that I want to break up but he won’t listen. He ignores it. I want to do a cord cutting ritual or chant but I need to be grounded first. Can anyone help me?

Ugh, sorry you’re in that situation.

I’ve never done a cord cutting myself, but from what I understand about them, there’s no point until the person you need to cut ties with is out of your life completely. Otherwise, the connection just gets reestablished.

Maybe instead, for now focus on finding the strength to end the relationship if that’s what you want?
