Hi coven! I’m working on a post about witchy gardens to inspire other witches and magical people. I’d love to feature some of yours, so if you’d like to share, drop a photo of yours in this thread!

Here’s sort of what the post will look like:

Those moon gates are wonderful - wish I had the space to have one!! I have a witchy garden, in that I grow witchy herbs lol. I wanted to build a labyrinth in our front yard but due to it being concreted about a couple of inches below the grass (which we didn’t know about!!!), that didn’t happen. It’s on my definite to-do list for when we get a new place 🙂

Thank you! A labyrinth would be amazing! I love walking those when I see them 🙂 How are your Samhain preparations going?

This isn’t my own design (found via Biodiverseed on Pinterest) but I’ve always wanted to create an herb spiral in my garden! The idea is to create microclimates depending on where/how strong the sun will shine to be able to diversify what you can grow. It’s also a safe haven for biodiversity 🦎

I had a beautiful container garden when I lived in Dallas. Since moving to Phoenix, I’ve had a bit of a struggle keeping some of the plants I considered easy-to-keep in good shape. Outside I still keep the sage I planted years ago, rosemary and a small aloe. Indoors, I mostly have a bunch of pothos, some orchids and dracaenas.

I’d like to plant some native plants in our yard and had intended to do so around Imbolc but was too engaged with work stuff. I’ll probably plant this fall though.

Thank you for this wonderful place to gather and share ideas.

I’ve always wanted a container garden that was all poisonous flowers. Azaleas, oleanders, devils trumpets and the such. Wolf’s bane is pretty but it gets evasive real easy so I wouldn’t want to try.

That’s a very cool idea. I do miss the azaleas back in TX. They’re in bloom this time of year.

I’ve been doing some work on creating little altar boxes - decorative boxes with an altar plate and a selection of items for a mini altar, which I will be selling at markets. I would add a pic of it here but unsure if we can add photos?

Yes, I’ve been interested in creating one of those too, the issue would be how to keep the herbs in check lol

There is someone in Phoenix who has done a dood dorest on his land. He recommended trees first to creat dappled shade and then working on the understory.
You might be able to search YouTube for his food forest? There might be great ideas dor just working with the environment where you live.
I heard him on a permaculture podcast and I was so impressed with how successful he had been!

I’d love to see those! They sound lovely.

You can definitely add photos once you’re past trust level 0. 🙂 There’s a bar above the box where you type that has icons for bold, italic, link, etc. Just click on the little box with the picture in it. It’s next to the bulletpoint list icon.

Because the strophalos is one of Hecate’s symbols, along with a key, and dagger (which I am not going to include), also the crystals include garnet, obsidian and amethyst, which are aligned with Hecate 🙂

Hi Rebecca,
I have started a ‘physic garden’ in my allotment but it doesnt look like much yet as our gardens are just waking up here in the UK. Give it another month and it will be flowering beautifully, but I expect that might be a bit late for your purposes. 🤔

Hi there! My garden hasn’t bloomed yet. Its more of a butterfly/polinator garden then anything. It have a cone flower, a variety of sage, several different milkweeds, asters, etc. The golden finches love it too. ❤

I have a square foot garden with a different herb or flower in each section. Just 12 squares: lavender, onion. chive, perennial daisy, parsely, thyme, rosemary, dill, oregano, marigold, bee balm, lemon balm. Mint escaped previously so its wild around the edges and smells nice when I walk on it. I love a well planned and easy to maintain garden!
