I was just wondering if anyone else does this. I like to cleanse, then decorate a wooden box. Depending on what i would like it for. If i put positive thoughts, and little inspirational notes to myself , or goals i would like to achieve throughout the year, i then take the box and burn it on or near my birthday to send the positive out to the universe and bless my year ahead. (I even put one of those packets that change the fire different colours inside) because they make me happy. I am just wondering if i do one with negitivity ( like thoughts i have or mean things that i have said to myself or someone has said to me), how should i go about that? Should i buried it, should i drowned it, should i hide it in a grave yard and let the angels take it? Should put flowers inside or maybe a crystal? Please all ideas are welcomed ---

I love this idea! I do something similar, i call mine a blessing jar. When good things happen throughout the year, i write them on a piece of paper, then take them all out and give thanks for each of them and offer them in a fire sending my thanks up with the smoke. I liked your idea about the negetive things too. I think burying it would be my choice and symbolically laying all that negative energy to rest and grounding it. ---

I am thinking laying it to rest to… i am also thinking i could find a way to put a positive on it. I thought about seeds but, i don’t want the negitive to grow. There has to be a way to turn that negative into a positive. I could nutral9ze it with salt ---

Even with the negative, I would burn it. Fire cleanses too. If you do bury it, I wouldn’t use salt because that could damage the earth and prevent anything from growing in the future (because nothing grows from salt). I do like your idea about this though, with the positive and negative. If I were to do it, I would use fire in both cases and make my intentions clear before burning in either case. Giving thanks for the positives, and releasing/clearing the negatives while offering them up in a way that the Universe will handle it. ---

So i went with all negitive thoughts, mean and hurtfull thing that my friend has had to deal with( we are harm reduction workers at a homeless shelter, with a safe injection site on property… people can be mean). When she is ready to let them go, she can either burn the whole box or empty it into a fire( i think i will make it so she burns the whole box(glue the top on) and put aome of that mystic fire packages in it( turns the flames pretty colours)) then i told her to watch for gifts, pay attention to signs and remember to say thank you each and every time… On the top it says, In this box goes all negativity. In exchange with the power of flames, the wish inside, the universe will guide, beautiful blessing back to me! So inside i wrote a blessing wish for my friend. I asked for the powers of all to grant this wish for me if they please. I noted that she is deserving and that she is ready to recieve and finished it with no harm come to none and a thank you for given her gifts so freely( here is more, but you get the idea)⁰ So now to decorate it and give it to her. I even have a little pad of paper and a pen. It is alot of fun having people to give ideas. Thank you so much. Blessed be ---

I really love this idea and it’s something I will definitely try. On this idea of releasing negative energy, I have heard of some people using snow; holding the snow in a fist and letting the snow melt away with the negativity. Obviously its season based, but it is interesting how many ways in which we use different natural energies as a release. Best wishes x ---

I like your box strategy! As for negativity to dispose of, everybody is different and of course it’s up to you and what feels right to you. If it was me, I would burn it and watch the ‘negativity’ turn into smoke and dissolve in the air…then maybe bury the ash (if any left)? let me know how you like this? ---

Thank you. I have told them to burn it at a big old bonfire. Either christmas eve, new years or little christmas.
